- Build conceptual, prototype and full mechanical designs
- Perform 2D and 3D CAD modelling, drafting and analysis
- Ensure the mechanical design is according to the customer specifications and regulations
- Contribute to match the mechanical design to electrical modules, parts and components or vice versa
- Make necessary calculations and simulations with detailed reporting, component specification and material selection
- Ensure the performance in respect of the environment and quality requirements
- Evaluate parts and perform design acceptance
- Resolve design and implementation issues
- Contribute to a successful characterization with laboratory if needed
- Contribute to the achievement of the target cost and development schedule
- Ensure technical support in mechanics domain
- Strong focus on design to cost
- Using and suggesting interesting new solutions
- Understand market requirements in order that the design of the products fulfill customer needs
